Prayer
Prayer is simply having a conversation with God. It is not complicated, nor is it something to fear. There is no “right way” or “wrong way” to pray. Think of prayer as talking to someone you want to know more deeply—and who already desires to know you. It is speaking with someone you trust, like a loving parent, a close friend, or even a counselor.
God’s Word is full of encouragement and instruction about prayer. Prayer is not about perfection—it is about connection.
Jeremiah 29:12:
“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”
And 1 Thessalonians 5:17:
“Pray without ceasing.”
The Word
The Bible is God’s inspired Word—written by man and guided by God. It reveals who God is, how we can know Him, and how to live a life pleasing unto Him. Through Scripture, we receive wisdom, instruction, comfort, and hope.
The Bible records God’s ultimate act of love: the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we may have salvation and eternal life. It is both historical and spiritual, and it serves as our roadmap for faith and truth.
